Get Involved at Lake Gaston Christian Life Centre
At Lake Gaston Christian Life Centre, there are many opportunities for involvement in service, discipleship and outreach ministries. We need workers in all areas of ministry, especially in working with children and teens. Over one hundred individuals are involved in Project SERVE, an initiative to include many persons in various ministries, such as Nursery Supervision, Ushering, Greeting, PowerPoint presentations, financial accountability, music, Super Church (children ages 4-9), Fire Starters (students in grades 5-7), and many more.
Sunday School offers opportunities for teaching, assisting and discipleship. Classes are offered for every age group and relevant and interesting electives are presented for adults.
Our Music and Creative Arts Ministries include choir, worship team, major musical productions, youth band, human videos, Fine Arts, 4th Sunday Concert series, children's choir and handbell choir for special productions....the list of opportunities for involvement is expanding.
Our ministry to teens is dependent on adult volunteers. "The Firehouse" event on Friday nights, Fire Starters on Sunday morning, Fine Arts training, fellowship and social activities, and evangelism opportunities are all part of Ablaze Youth Ministries.
LGCLC sponsors three major foreign mission’s trips each year: Peru in February and August and Africa in the summer. Involvement in missions will change your life. You can also assist in fund-raising for mission’s projects and ministries. Our long-term plans for home missions include a counseling center, community library, food bank, and a women’s home. We will need volunteers in the planning and implementation of these important projects.
Project LOVE addresses benevolence needs in the area. LIFE Groups offer opportunities for establishing relationships according to needs and interests. Ministry to shut-ins and participation in visitation teams remains an important ministry need at LGCLC.
